Our Food

Weary of the same old Italian and French fare sold in so many cafes we decided to focus on British flavours. We didn’t choose British suppliers in some fashionable attempt to be worthy, but because they just happen to be brilliant. All our artisan bread is handmade by The Flour Station. We pair it with seasonally changing ingredients, scouring farmers' markets for the best artisan producers to inspire combinations such as Slow braised ham hock and mustard shallots on London bloomer, or a nose tickling egg mayo spiked with Colman's mustard and peppery watercress in a seeded sweet bap.

Breakfast, because we love it, is served all day and includes British bacon and spiced tomato ketchup butties and for weekend brunch we spend hours braising smoky baked beans with muscovado sugar, or we might slow roast a hunk of pork before piling it, crackling and all, into a floury white bap with an apple relish from Cumbria. Or simply pop in for some toasted sourdough. You’ll find pots of our home made peanut butter, alongside handmade marmalade and jams from England Preserves. Don't leave without trying our voluptuous cupcakes, or moist gluten free sponges. These are all handmade without a preservative in sight. Our menu follows the rhythm of the British seasons but in the leaner months we look abroad for inspiration, so there's always exciting flavours to be tasted.
